Welcome to Fab3D. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Authentication Information: When you connect Sketchfab, we receive a short-lived authorization response and provide the resulting access credential to the app so it can act on your behalf.
• Sketchfab Profile and Social Information: We receive profile details such as your Sketchfab user ID, username, display name, avatar, profile link, and account counts. If you use social features, we also process the creators you follow or unfollow.
• Feed Preferences: We store categories you select and limited feed state needed to personalize and cache recommendations.
• User Content: We process 3D models, comments, or other content you choose to create, upload, download, or view through the app.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: We collect limited device information needed to operate the app, including platform, app version, an app-installation identifier, and a Firebase Cloud Messaging token when notifications are enabled.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our app, including the features you use and the time spent on the app.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you with Sketchfab
• Display your Sketchfab 3D models and content
• Follow or unfollow Sketchfab creators when you request it
• Personalize your feed using followed creators, selected categories, and public staff-picked models
• Notify you about enabled model or comment activity
• Improve and optimize our app's functionality
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Sketchfab: To authenticate and access your Sketchfab account and content
• Service Providers: Third-party companies that help us operate our app
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government authorities

Data Storage and Security

We store your Sketchfab access token on your device using Apple's Keychain services. Our authentication service uses encrypted, short-lived, one-time records only while completing sign-in; it does not maintain a long-lived server-side vault of your Sketchfab access token.

Firebase stores an account-scoped profile snapshot, feed preferences, followed-creator references, notification registrations, and activity items. Shared feed caches contain only public Sketchfab model metadata and do not expose your private follow graph or account-specific feed.

Personalized-feed caching does not upload or store your downloaded or captured 3D model files on Fab3D servers. Any future cloud model-file backup will be an optional premium feature, will require an explicit upload action, and will be described before it is enabled.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt-out of certain data collection
• Revoke Sketchfab access permissions and disable personalized Sketchfab activity

To exercise these rights, you can:

• Log out of Sketchfab within the app
• Delete the app from your device
• Contact us at the email address provided below

Children's Privacy

Fab3D is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account preferences and followed-creator references while your Fab3D account remains active so the service can provide your personalized feed. Activity inbox items are normally removed after 90 days. OAuth completion records expire within minutes. Public feed snapshots are refreshed or replaced on a rolling basis.

Disconnecting Sketchfab stops authenticated Sketchfab access and related polling. You can request deletion of your Fab3D account and associated Firebase data by contacting us at the address below. Revoking Sketchfab access does not itself delete data held by Sketchfab; please use Sketchfab's account controls for that data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
